INTRODUCING TWO NEW HERD SIRES
Our proven herd sires – Crown’s Smoke Jumper and Rodeo Max ST - are still at work. We needed a yearling bull that can service our great lineup of 2008 heifers. For that reason we retained a JP Rio Grande son, born in June 2008 out of a big, flat and twisty horned Fielder daughter.
His name is FEY’S RIO CASINO. He has a lot of flat horn (35 inches tip to tip at 12 months) and is brindle colored.

In addition to this very promising bull we also acquired a Peacemaker son from our friends Tom and Molly St. Hilaire. THE SHOOTIST is out of a 63” tip to tip cow with a lot of total horn. Her pedigree includes proven sires like Senator and Winchester. This colorful bull looks very similar to his sire and is a few weeks older than Fey’s Rio Casino. He measured over 37 inches tip to tip at 13 months with a solid horn base. The combination of those two bloodlines could be a shootout!

RODEO MAX ST FOR SALE!!
We decided to put this outstanding herd sire up for sale. His third calf crop is hitting the ground this Spring and it is time to rotate bulls. Rodeo Max ST measured 76 1/8” tip to tip on March 7, 2009! He passed his sire Maximus ST before turning 5 years old! On top of that he never threw a solid colored calf and has a good disposition.

For more details please contact Martee Searle at www.marteescattle.com.
We hope that he will find a home where he can breed some cows in the 70’s club to show his full potential.

Heifer and bull pages updated with 2008 calves
As the 2008 calving season is winding down (with only 2 more cows to go) we put our new arrivals up on our webpage.
You will notice that we start using Fey’s in front of every registered name instead of the abbreviation FL which is also used by at least two other ranches. This way we avoid any possible confusion.
